If you saw the new Dark Knight Batman movie, you know Heath Ledger (rip) totally redefined the Joker character. And since this movie has broken all types of box office records, you can best believe that there is going to be a sequel. Many people are speculating who can play the Joker now with the humor and intensity that Heath had in Dark Knight. Here are my top 10 suggestions.Feel free to comment with your own suggestions.

8.Kevin Spacey

7.Sean Penn

I heard a few people say Jim Carrey..I just don't see him as the Joker..He already played the Riddler.

I would go with Crispin Glover number 1 and Jude Law number 2. Crispin has that weirdness about him yet he can still be funny. Jude Law is really versatile and his role in "Road to Perdition" showed that he can be evil and cold-blooded. Another good one might be Jonathan Rhys-Myers

Its tough choice between 1 and 2 but I think because johnny depp is used to playin weirdo he would be best. But daniel day lewis stays in character for months like heath ledger did so its a close call

Seriously I havent seen the film yet because I have been working too much. Anyway here is what peopel have to remember, Christian bale (although an awesome actor) has been signed to play Jon Coner in terminator Salvation, so another batman film wouldnt be in the near future (at least 2012). Now to replace someone who redefined the joker, it would be too much of a gamble for the next few batman movies due to Heaths knockout performance, I would say that they will look for another villan from the batman world and I know it wont be the penguin unless the director of dark knight and batman begins is not directing it (I dont see that happening) because he doesnt see the penguine as a realistic character so I say why pick a top 10 for a new joker we should be looking at who the next villan will be and who could play him. I am going to say that the Riddler would make a comeback and I woudl love to see Jim Carey as the riddler again but with more emotion init think a cross between the riddle and his character in the number 23 (or whatever the movie was called).

Now if you have to replace Heath ledger let me put my 2 cents in (and you cant have crazy ass Tom Cruise). I would say a lesser known actor like Cillian Murphy (yeah check imdb.com) he has the skills and isnt as well known as some on the list..

Anyway thats my 2 cents well more like $3.00 but who cares its all food for though.

Cillian Murphy has the skills but he's alreay taken his turn as a Batman villain. He was Scarecrow in "Batman Begins".

There is a good chance the Joker won't be in the next film, remember that Batman has so many enemies that they'll probably still switch it up like the 1st series of Batman movies.

Yeah I totally forgot that he played scarecrow and remembered on my way to work today, still I think he is a good actor and having someone less well known like him with some solid acting abilities.

Personally I think the next movie would focus on two face, I mean Harvey Dent's latent multiple personality disorder fully took hold when half his face was horrifically scarred.

I think the best alternative to Heath is of course Johnny Depp. Then Jude Law. Maybe Jude could play the Riddler and leave the Joker to Johnny Depp.

Maybe Leonardo di Caprio
